Yuan-Cheng Fung (Redirected from Y.C. Fung)

Yuan-Cheng Bert Fung (冯元桢, born 1919) is a modern scientist, regarded as the "Father of Bioengineering" and the "Founder of Biomechanics".

He was born in Jiangsu Province, China in 1919. He earned bachelor's in 1941 and master's degrees in 1943 from the National Central University of Taiwan, and earned Ph.D. from California Institute of Technology in America in 1948. He is a professor emeritus at University of California, San Diego.
